SPC Christian Hodge - Hero On Call

I joined the New Hampshire Army National Guard in 2006 after I graduated high school. I enlisted for a few reasons. First and foremost, I joined to serve my country and be the best Soldier I could be, to live up to my father’s expectations and my mother’s history in the Army. I also joined to see the world and pay for my college education. Many people ask why I joined the 39th Army Band instead of the Military Police or as an Infantryman. It’s because I enjoy rallying the troops and making them happy. If my fellow Soldiers overseas and ashore are happy, then so am I.
